During the summer of 2016, I lost my beloved grandmother to Alzheimer's. At the time, I was so busy with work and professional ambitions that I missed her funeral.  

It was then that I decided to start realigning my priorities and when the winter rolled around, I dropped everything and embarked on a solo 3 month journey around the NW region of the U.S. and parts of Europe to snowboard. I guess you can say that it was a walkabout of sorts.  

During that time that I participated in my first Longest Day with my activity being traveling and snowboarding. To learn more about The Longest Day, got to www.helpendalz.org

It was also towards the end of that 3 month snowboarding trek where I found Yoga as a way to recover from my mountain activities. It soon became another passion of mine. So much so that I decided to become a teacher of the practice.  

For the last couple years, Yoga has been my main activity for The Longest Day.  

The original plan for my Longest Day 2020 was a series of donation yoga classes and events. However, with the current situation, everything I had planned may not be possible. So, instead, I will hosting some online donation classes. Be sure to follow my social media for updates on those.
